| Vista Home Premium 32bit(xps)/64bit(touchsmart) | Want to upgrade GPU Currently I'm running a Nvidia 9800gt, I would like to upgrade to one of Nvidia's new cards, I have no idea if my motherboard would support one of the newer cards, because I received my computer from Dell/QVC. Is there anyway short of opening up my computer that I can find out if my mb will support a newer card. |

| Vista x64 + Windows 7 x64 (Ultimate) | Re: Want to upgrade GPU Sorry, I just see it as a waste of money as the 9800GT will play all of the latest games extremely well but, if burning money is the latest craze, well... Do it, Do it! ![]() Not knowing the board, PSU (extremely important), Case & cooling puts me off a little bit and unless you are looking to custom built a rig in the immediate future (more so with the horror stories about Dell having a propietary PSU so you can't upgrade them rumor), why upgrade your GPU only? The little I have learn about computers is that you can't just upgrade 1 thing, this is always a balancing act of 2 forces; Question is... which ones |
