NVidia and ATI have both tweaked cards for benchmark tests. I trust neither - but use both.

i can buy that, but the article(s) state that at the conference, nvidia didn't even have a real card! they want the masses to believe that their benches are real, but can't even have a real card at the conference. what did they bench with?

Ahhhh, the power of a good Marketing Team... take no prisoners is the name of the game for 99% of the Companies today. If you believe what they tell you, you have no one but yourself to blame.

They've said they want to hold off revealing the card fully right until the last moment.

Though faking the card wasn't really the right way to go about it, though.
