Screen Resolution Changes

Not sure the best section to put this... but here it goes...

My resolution is set to 1680x1050. But, any time I play a game in a different resolution (bf1942 in 800x600 for example), after done playing the desktop resolution is fine. I start my computer back up the next day and my desktop resolution is set to 800x600...

I'm not sure how to fix this at the moment... but it is pretty annoying having to arrange my desktop icons every time I restart after playing a game.

Re: Screen Resolution Changes

I decided to reformat the computer. When I went from Windows 7 RC1 back to Vista I was having problems and this was one of the problems.

Since the reformat, The previous problems I've had are gone. When playing a game in a different resolution and restarting it goes back to what I have it set at.

This is my desktop, gtx260, vista x64, q6600, 8gb ram, etc...

I'm thinking I may try and run SLI again, but I think I didn't have some settings correct... as I was getting worse performance then with a single GPU.
