screen resolution help

hi i am trying to install some software but it wont install because it needs 1280 x 1024
my screen is 1280 x 800 does anyone know a way i could get this installed

Hi

Not sure about the software installation but you should be able to change the screen resolution of your monitor from the control panel. You should have a section there labelled "monitor" or the name of your graphic card.
Mine says "Control panel for NVIDIA" along with the graphic card icon but yours may be different.

Open this option and there should be a page on which you can change your screen resolution.
Mine is a slider but it could equally be a selection list. eg

800 x 600
960 x 600
1024 x 768
1162 x 864
1280 x 768
1280 x 800
1280 x 960
1280 x 1024
1360 x 768
1440 x 900
1680 x 1050

Pick the one you want and retry the software.
