help please

hi everyone....was tweaking my graphics card with Nervia and i was changing some options and now when i go into GTAIV it crashes say GTAIV FATAL ERROR "unable to create depth render target. please reinstall DriectX or install the latest video card drivers" i have tried switching everything to the defaults and i uninstalled it

what have i done??

i have updated my Direct X to the latest version and i am downloading the latest grapics drivers from Nvida

HELP!!!!

Go to the GTA4 shortcut, and right click it > Properties > Target.

In target it'll say for example: "C:\program files\GTA4\gta4.exe"

I'm not sure what it'll exactly say, but the quotations MUST be there.

add the code -swtnl to the end of the target.

It will look like similar to this.

"C:\program files\GTA4\gta4.exe" -swtnl

LEAVE THE QUOTATIONS... and don't copy from here and paste it in the target, type in -swtnl manually.

Go to Device Manager and then uninstall your Display Adapter driver. Then don't install the latest one from the manufacturer, but get the original driver (the one that was preinstalled). Probably you will get it on your PC manufacturer's site.

Probably you will get everything right. Then install the latest drivers.

No mate you use the bios to overclock your CPU you can use software based applications such as Riva Tuner to overclock your GPU within windows :) Its always a good idea to do plenty of research first though and overclocking your GPU for the most part is usually a waste of time
