Had GFX problems for a year [Radeon HD 4890]

I was able to get by for almost a year with this problem, but it's finally starting to get on my nerves.

I have a ATI Radeon HD 4890... I can run fine for a couple hours normally... but if I watch a youtube/streamed video or something, I start getting artifiacts and sometimes I'll get a message saying my drivers have stopped working or something. If I watch another video I'll get the blue screen of death... it's pretty much inevitable that my computer sessions end with the blue screen. But if I wait for 10 minutes I can just boot back up like nothing happened!

I've already tried updating the drivers numerous times... Maybe this card isn't compatible with my mobo, Gigabyte UD3H?

Help please, I'm getting desperate!

A gpu cannot be inompatible with a obo, unless you can't physically fit it in thee board.

It sounds like a heat issue, seeing as you can wait 10 minutes.

Have you checked them to see what the card gets to?

I usually recommend hwmonitor from www.cpuid.com

Temps on the gpu shouldn't be more than 70 or 80C tops

Nope, at 60C it should be all fine.

I've not used an ATI card in along time, but I always read issues with the Catalyst drivers.

You do have the flash updated correct?
