Solved Display help!

Hi,
I've had trouble with my HPw2338h display--the image turns black and white with vertical lines, and goes out of resolution whenever I maximize youtube videos, and some programs like the Arduino Environment. I'm running Windows Home Premium 64 bit. This problem only just came up, and I tried reinstalling the monitor descriptions, and checking the graphics card in device manager. Help please?

hi creatornator, it looks to me like your screenshots are somewhat out of focus and possibly the resolution is set incorrectly, but with the vertical lines, that looks very much like your graphics card is on its way out or possibly your ram is faulty, have you tried reseating your RAM sticks and seeing if that fixes the issue?

Very easy to toss a 2nd monitor or tv to see if its card or the monitor.

But as Needs said, it sounds like more of a card going.

Welcome to tf.

Reseating the RAM seams to have worked, but What you see as a difference in resolution is actually what I see on the screen. The window itself actually goes out of resolution, it has nothing to do with the screenshot. Thanks.

I see, that's a very strange issue indeed, has the aspect ratio been fixed by reseating the RAM or is that still present?

Everything seems to be fixed, including the aspect ratio, but I'll make another post if the issue arises again. Thank you for your help.
