PC to TV

Hello,
I just got myself a 32 inch TV for Christmas, it's a Coby Model: TFDVD3295S2/2695S2. It has a VGA port for the computer to plug in so, I went to Radio Shack and bought a simple 6ft VGA Cable and got it all hooked up.
The problem I'm having is the screen colors are wrong. It's very red for one. I have an Nvidia Geforce 9500 GT 1 GB Video Card that worked perfectly fine on my regular 17 inch LCD Monitor.
I attempted to fix my color issue in the Nvidia Control Panel under Adjust Desktop Color Settings tab. I was able to turn the red down and counter it with a little green. I also had a problem with White looking yellow tinged, so I turned up the blue. Now my white looks white but, my black looks greenish blue, and the whole screen sorta has a light blue film look over it. Like I'm looking threw a haze. I just can't get the colors right and I don't understand why it just didn't work upon first plug-in.
I'm using Windows Vista 64-bit fully updated via Windows Update and video card drive fully updated from Nvidia.com
I took back my VGA cable to radio shack thinking it might be a bad cable and they switched it out for another one but still same problem. The Radio Shack guy said something about Intel Processor needs to be refreshed or something to help with the resolution and whatnot. Well I don't have a problem with resolution just color and I wouldn't know what to do with my Intel Processor anyways. When I initially plugged in the monitor it automatically did it's thing and said your device is ready to use or whatever. In Device Manage it says Generic Non-PnP Monitor. (don't know if that has something to do with it or not)
I sent an email to Coby technical support but I'm unsure if it's the TV or not. I also tried downloading some software for Monitor Calibration and they were difficult to use or made the problem even worse. If anyone can help, has information, tips, whatever please help if you can! If you need anymore information let me know.
