A game under dos using the full screen is working fine under windows xp

On a pc under windows vista the error message comes immediately after starting:
"the full screen is not supported by this system".

Question 1: is there a solution by changing the screen-configuration of Vista

Q2:is there a patch program available by microsoft

Q3:is the same problem occuring in windows 7 and 8

The problem is with games developed with quickbasic 45 using the command
" screen 8 ".After compiling you get a .exe program which you can run on a pc .
These games run fine under windows 98 ,2000 and xp and not under Vista

in attach the starting program pietgame.exe which you can use a a test .
