I Have Brought a new Graphics Card not the best but ow well, its GEForce GT240 & in BIOS my Primary Video Adaptor is set to PCI-E x1 with option to change to PCI-E x16 my Question is should i change it, & also whats the difference thanks..

Alot. pci-e 1x is physically smaller, it's about an inch long, pci-e x16/x8/x4 are all full length, about 4 inchs.

Now for the bios stuff nah, you computers smart enough to figure out what you have, especially if you have nothing plugged n to the pci-e x1 slot.

So your saying to leave it as it is then! (as PCI-E x1)...

(Q) Can i Change though & is there any danger if i do change it in the BIOS ?

My Computer

No danger, basically you are just telling it where to look first when booting up. If it doesn't find a gpu, it'll jst keep searching the next spot.

The difference is in bandwidth and configuration. If you have an x16 for a graphics card use it. Although technically a graphics card will work in an x1 the bandwidth isn't as high and the x16 slot connects to the faster end of the chipset, at least that is my understanding. An x1 works well for less intensive cards such as a audio or usb card however you want to reserve the best for your graphics card.
