| Guest | Need help with LiveServiceTraceViewer demo I have almost all of the LiveServiceTraceViewer demo app working on windows xp sp2. I am having trouble getting the WebHostedService service.svc to run on IIS6. All I get is a web server error. Can WCF services run on IIS6? What are the requirements to get a WCF service running? |

Yes, as long as a service uses an HTTP based binding. > What are the requirements to get a WCF service > running? A proper installation of the .NET Framework 3.0 should provide all you need. You may run in trouble if you had a previous CTP installed that was not uninstalled properly (see the article on http://www.netfx3.com/). Cheers, -- Joerg Jooss news-reply@joergjooss.de |

| Guest | Re: Need help with LiveServiceTraceViewer demo It has something to do with XP Pro and IIS 5.1. Its not set up correctly or can't be set up correctly I don't know. I've never used XP Pro for development before, I've always used Server 2003 and didn't know how fortunate I was. Can a WCF web service be made to work on XP Pro IIS 5.1, or with the builtin cassini server in vs8? |
