Re: Comparison of WCF and Existing Web services concepts

Just look at interop examples in PSDK. They show how both web services/web
client can talk to WCF clients/servers

Re: Comparison of WCF and Existing Web services concepts

WCF itself is not a new technology to solve interopability between different
applications but a much better programming model then the previous ones.

Interopability with WCF is managed through one of the HTTP/SOAP bindings
that exists for a WCF endpoint. Since HTTP is a RFC and SOAP a recomendation
from W3C, thoose are protocols that are possibly implemented and easy to
consume in other applications on other plattforms or on the .net plattform.

Hope this helps

Re: Comparison of WCF and Existing Web services concepts

Hi Patrik,

Thanks for the reply ...
am now in a learning state for .Net 3.0--WCF, WPF....
As you said that WCF is a better programming model, which can suite the
existing problems, can you let me know on the existing issues with the
current advanced web services ?

Can you let me know the limitations of the existing webservices and the edge
which we have on the WCF ..

Thanks
Senthil
