| | Re: Invoking Web service from Excel 2007 Arun, Yes, this is definitely possible but not through your typical VBA route. The best way to do this is to use the Visual Studio Tools for the 2007 Microsoft Office System. This way you can control and manipulate your Excel Spreadsheets through Web Services, etc. Shaun McDonnell "Arun Gupta" <arun.gupta@gmail.com> wrote in message news:1171483283.646855@news1nwk... > How do I invoke a WCF-based Web service from Excel 2007 ? > > Is it even possible ? > > Thanks, > -Arun |

| | Re: Invoking Web service from Excel 2007 Thanks Shaun. I'm heading in that direction after further research. I downloaded Visual Studio 2005 DVD image but could not locate a "virtual CD control panel" for Vista. Do you know of any ? Moreover MSDN downloads are painful today. I've received this error multiple times since morning: -- cut here -- An Error occurred while you were attempting to access the Subscriber Download web site. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Please try again later. Thank you for your patience. -- cut here -- Clicking on "Subscriber Download and Product Keys" takes me back to the subscription home page and goes in cycles. -Arun Shaun C McDonnell wrote: > Arun, > > Yes, this is definitely possible but not through your typical VBA route. > The best way to do this is to use the Visual Studio Tools for the 2007 > Microsoft Office System. | | Re: Invoking Web service from Excel 2007 I could finally install Vista, Office 2007, and VSTO. When I try to install Sharepoint 2007 on Vista Ultimate, I get: -- cut here -- Setup is unable to proceed due to the following error(s): This product requires Windows Server 2003 SP1. Install the service pack and re-run setup. Correct the issue(s) listed above and re-run the setup. -- cut here -- Any idea ? Do you know of any samples that shows how Excel spreadsheets can be controlled through Web services ? -Arun Shaun C McDonnell wrote: > Arun, > > Yes, this is definitely possible but not through your typical VBA route. > The best way to do this is to use the Visual Studio Tools for the 2007 > Microsoft Office System.
