data packet sizes over wire

Hi,

We have WCF service(hotsed in IIS6.0). Average request and response message
sizes are 50KB. However due to network limitations we require to limit the
data packet sizes to max 10KB. By any chance can we control the data packet
sizes which are transferred over wire. Is it possible with streaming to
control the data packets that are transffered over wire from WCF service?

regards,

Nilesh

Re: data packet sizes over wire

Hello, Nilesh!

I doubt that you can control data packet size sent over the wire. Thats the
function of the
stack.

But you can control the size of message body chunks when using WCF
streaming.
For example in BasicHttpBinding MaxBufferSize property can be used to tune
buffer sizes
