| Guest | Hop over to the MSDN Forums for Q&A with the team ... Hello (News-)Group! we, the Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) aka "Indigo" team, have two places for Q&A about WCF; here in the newsgroups and over at the MSDN Forums (http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/sho...x?forumid=118). As things go, that's one place too many for us to track closely. We've got excellent tools for seeing what's going on in the forums (most people on our team get a daily mail listing all open questions), but there's not quite as good tooling for the Newsgroups. And the forums are, quite frankly, quite a bit more versatile in terms of functionality than NNTP. So what happens is that while some of us (like me now) may swing by here every once in a while, most of the WCF team is closely watching the MSDN forum and we are very actively answering your questions over there, because the tools push the questions straight into our inboxes. And, yes, we've had the thought about doing some replication between here and there, but that isn't a very practical thing to do for a variety of reasons. We all recognize that newsgroups are an established and excellent tool and this group isn't going away (even though it's not a too far fetched guess that "indigo" designation won't last), but they have been and still are mostly a self-help tool. Since we're interested what you do with our stuff, we'd like to see and answer your questions and therefore I'd like to encourage you to come over to the MSDN Forums for Q&A: http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/sho...px?forumid=118 And of course (I shouldn't have to point that out, but just to be clear on that) you can (should!) always jump in and respond to questions or participate in discussions over in the forums whenever you have an answer at hand or have a pointer to a resource (blog entry, etc.) explaining a solution. And believe me, if you are one of the kings of this newsgroup, you'll be recognized as a king over there as well. Your fame won't suffer ;-) Thank you, Clemens Clemens Vasters - Program Manager Windows Communication Foundation - Microsoft Corp. |
