Exceeded MaxItemsInObjectGraph quota

Hello,

I'm actually testing WebServices producing large collection of objets (let's
say around 10000). I use the latest WinFx CTP (February 2006)
Putting aside whether or not that test has a good meaning, what surprises me
is that I have an exception message telling me:
Exceeded MaxItemsInObjectGraph quota. Maximum number of items that can be
serialized or deserialized in an object graph
is '65536'.
Why am I crossing the 65536 threshold with "only" 10 000 objets?

Also, I tried to modify the MaxItemsInObjectGraph by modifying the
configuration file: <system.runtime.serialization><datacontractserializer
maxItemsInObjectGraph="100000" /> but it doesn't help. By the way, it looks
like it was the xmlFormatter element that used to play this role upon the
January 2006 preview.

The behaviour is easy to reproduce: just have a small Web Services returning
a List<T> with many intances of T.

Do you have any idea or can you help me?

Jean-Baptiste.
