Converting from WSE 3.0 - ReceiveSecurityFilter?

I am in the process of converting our WSE 3.0 infrastructure to WCF. We use
custom policy assertions in WSE, and on the service side we implement the
ValidateMessageSecurity method to inspect the message structure and
eventually assign a custom IPrincipal object to the current thread.

Any suggestions for how this type of functionality should be accomplished
with WCF? Should I be using a custom SecurityBindingElement?

Thanks for any guidance!

I'm not familiar with ValidateMessageSecurity, but the following may
be of interest; Shaun kinldy provided me with details of providing a
custom permissions policy (search for
principalPermissionMode="Custom").

RE: Converting from WSE 3.0 - ReceiveSecurityFilter?

You could create a custom Message Inspector class for the
validateMessageSecurity, and an Instance Inspector or an Operation Invoker to
control the threads for assigning the IPrincipal.
