| | FolderShare status and downtime Hi, Thank you all for actively participating in this newsgroup. Your posts are informative and the criticism is constructive, which allows us to get better at what we do. I would like to personally apologize for not keeping you up to date regarding these last outages, unfortunately, the maintenance work we were doing on the servers has made the system slightly less stable for these past few days. We have resolved the issue that caused this outage and expect things to go back to normal shortly. Everything we read in this newsgroup makes it to our meetings and discussions, so please do not think that the input you give is overlooked. Your user experience is our primary focus, so it is highly important for us as a team to know what you guys think. In the near future, we will make an effort to let you know ASAP regarding future or current outages, their estimated downtime, as well as news regarding the product. Thank you all once again! -- Anton Katz Program Manager - Windows Live FolderShare |

| | RE: FolderShare status and downtime Thanks, Anton. I was told in an email from Foldershare about a year ago that Status would be reported on the Foldershare web site. Since then I have asked a few times when I've written about a problem, about when that would be implemented, but what I got were polite apologies. I hope you put something up soon. or else it looks like everyone goes home for the weeekend and no one is minding the store. | | Re: FolderShare status and downtime Ok, we pay nothing. Ok, Foldershare is a great product. Actually, I love it so much, but I am now highly dependent of it. Could you please, please, please, simply put something in your website saying that/when you are down? Most of us really spent time trying to make it work. I even read the log! Anyway, thanks for it, just keep it going. Jerry On Nov 12, 9:01 pm, "Anton Katz [MSFT]" <katz.an...@xxxxxx> wrote: Quote: > Hi, > Thank you all for actively participating in this newsgroup. | | RE: FolderShare status and downtime More than 6 hours after your post, I still have one computer that did not establish a connection, and the two that are both "online" are not syncing. When I try to force a sync, I get "Queued by server" with zero transfer. It did sync one time but that was well over an hour ago. Are you sure all the problems over the last few days have been resolved? I don't think so. Dan "Anton Katz [MSFT]" wrote: Quote: > Hi, > Thank you all for actively participating in this newsgroup. | | RE: FolderShare status and downtime I'm still not getting on either. FolderShare says it's trying to connect. | | RE: FolderShare status and downtime It is now 12:32 AM PST, 9 hours after you apologized to us, and wrote that "We have resolved the issue that caused this outage and expect things to go back to normal shortly. " You wrote that after stating that "the maintenance work we were doing on the servers has made the system slightly less stable for these past few days". So far, it's business as usual, 9 hours after you wrote this. No connection, no syncing. Foldershare has been broken now for what, 2 or 3 days? Is this project so poorly funded that such a misconception of the severity of the situation by none other than the Program Manager - Windows Live FolderShare --can occur? No slight to you, Anton, but what is going on with this project/product? "Anton Katz [MSFT]" wrote: Quote: > Hi, > Thank you all for actively participating in this newsgroup. | | RE: FolderShare status and downtime But you should be in a different time zone like me, 14 hours ahead of you it is now approaching the evening of the 13th and still no activity in Folder Share. Seems like finding a different service even if it is not free may be my only real alternative.
