FolderShare Maintenance Update: 5pm PST

Hello FolderShare Friends

Maintenance Update:

We are wrapping up our maintenance operations and are starting to bring the
FolderShare service online.

We are allowing FolderShare clients to re-connect in a controlled fashion to
confirm the system is operating correctly.

So basically your clients will start to re-connect to the FolderShare
service over the next few hours. Once connected you will be able resume
synchronization between your clients.

Access to the the www.foldershare.com will resume on Monday Nov 19th by
8:30AM(PST).

This is to allow us to monitor the system and confirm there are no issues.

The only functionality that you will not have access to until tomorrow
morning while the website is offline is:
- Creating new accounts
- Adding new libraries
- Remote access

We're almost there. FolderShare is re-starting its engine!

Thank-you again for your patience.
-Mohammed and FolderShare team

I, for one have not been “patient”; many adjectives come to mind and that is
not one of them. Eight days wondering why things are taking so long,
wondering why there is no backup that can be pulled into service, realising
that provider is unreliable. Sorry, I have been disappointed. UK, still no
service.

RE: FolderShare Maintenance Update: 5pm PST

We are terribly sorry for how long this has taken to repair.

Once the dust settles, we will send a more detailed update of how things
went this week, and why we required so much time to restore the system.

thank-you
-Mohammed and the FolderShare team.

RE: FolderShare Maintenance Update: 5pm PST

Mohammed,

Many thanks for your work on FS. It is an indispensable piece of software
and has helped improve my daily workflow. Thanks again for you hard work.
If possible, do you think you could send account holders e-mails about
outages and when service is resumed?

Thanks

RE: FolderShare Maintenance Update: 5pm PST

Mohammed

Thank you for your note. Depending on the availability today I will know
how to advise my team who rely on FolderShare. To give you an idea, it is
2am here in the UK and I am in my pyjamas with my cocoa waiting so I know
which way to jump at start of work Monday morning.

RE: FolderShare Maintenance Update: 5pm PST

I'm connected and synchonizing...with lots up queued updates "waiting for
server response" which will hopefully start to clear soon.

While I too am disappointed wrt the reliability over the last couple weeks I
do appriciate your hard work over what was surely a long weekend and I look
forward to a more stable platform.
