| | mac and pc In my family, we have each a mac and each a tablet pc, and we have used foldershare to sync and share files among the four very happily for months. In fact, it's like our lives depend on it. Then many things happened at once. We each reformatted and reinstalled Windows on our tablets at the end of September. At that point foldershare stopped sending anything more than the p2p file from the pcs to the mac (mac to pc and mac to mac and pc to pc all work). We started in with foldershare support and just got the suggestion from them to delete and recreate libraries, which didn't solve the problem. Meanwhile we upgraded to Leopard, and the foldershare server went down for a few days at about the same time. Everyone was confused and it took a while to sort out that leopard is okay with foldershare and everything went back to normal with the server repair. But we still have this same problem that a pc to mac transfer results only in the p2p file being placed and a lot of flashing notes about pending, connecting, listening, etc, that never result in a transfer. (We can, from the macs, successfully use "access my files" to get a file from the pcs.) Since it happened after we reformatted the pcs, probably it's a pc thing. Anyone have/solve this problem? Any chance there was a security update from Windows around that time that would have something to do with the problem? |

| | RE: mac and pc I have the exact same problem. PC to mac does not work. Very frustrating. I do not want to disable encryption. Wish They could solve this. | | RE: mac and pc Hello, Thank you for reporting the issue. We are investigating what looks like the same problem and might have a workaround (provided that your Windows machine runs XP SP2). I should be able to verify it and report back in 2-3 days. Thanks, Marcin (FolderShare team) "Wild" wrote: Quote: > I have the exact same problem. PC to mac does not work. Very frustrating. | | Re: mac and pc This actually works. Amazing. It's great to do this to catch up...but wouldn't it be a bad idea to leave encryption off the whole time? How much does this matter? |

| | RE: mac and pc I have experienced the same problem between my multiple Win XP machines and my Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5 but no problems with Win Vista Home Premium. Although I agree that I would prefer not to disable encryption (and can't wait for the Microsoft fix), I am happy to report that disabling both encryption and compression immediately fixed the problem! |

| | RE: mac and pc Hi Marcin, I also have this problem between Windows XP SP2 systems and 2 Mac Leopard systems. Do you have any update on a better fix than disabling encryption? Thanks!! | | RE: mac and pc Any word on a fix? I've got the same problem and it's becoming quite inconvenient. "Marcin Przysucha [MSFT]" wrote: Quote: > Hello, > Thank you for reporting the issue.
