| | Cannot sync multilanguage files I have 2 computers with chinese windows vista installed and another 1 with english windows xp, foldershare syncs all the english named files correctly but as for the chinese named files, if the file [chinese] was on the chinese vista, the english xp receives the file as a jumble of jargon, but if the file [chinese] was on the english xp, the chinese vista doesn't receive it at all, not even the *.p2p file. |

| | RE: Cannot sync multilanguage files this has always been a limitation of foldershare. filename in unicode are ignored by the client. I have the same problem as I have tone of chinese filenames. one ugly solution is to re-encode the filenames in say GB or BIG5 so instead of having a filename of *文(unicode) you'll have ÖÐÎÄ(GB) downside is that now you'll need additional programs (I use NJSTAR) to read your chinese filenames otherwise they apeare as jiberish.
