What's up? longer than 60 seconds for a server connection and for sync to start, so I suggest you look for something local as the cause of your problem. Tony |

| | Re: FolderShare not working Anthony, Thanks for your response. I have an internet connection. Both machines show online. (They are connected to Foldershare and the firewall is not blocking.) All folders are set to autmatically snyc. (Not manual.) What specifally do you suggest that I look for locally? Thanks, Wishing "Anthony R. Click on the system tray FolderShare icon and select My FolderShare as a shortcut to loading and logging into the web account for the Member (email address) used by a particular machine. Assuming you have not made any significant changes to machine folders in the libraries since they last sync'ed, and assuming they are online and connected, you might investigate whether any firewall configuration is causing the problems. Again, clicking the FolderShare system tray icon and then More, Settings, Port Status should give you a useful display with diagnostics of open ports available to the program on any machine. Tony |

| | Re: FolderShare not working Also try disabling encryption at both ends. This bug shows up when syncing PCs and Macs, at least. richi. www.richij.com |

| | Re: FolderShare not working Simply DELETE all your Libraries/Shares on www.foldershare.com and make new one's.. This will probably fix it! If it doesnt, try to make sure that each folder you share is within 2gb size and a max of 5000 (or 10.000 files)... If neither of these steps works, then maybe it is a firewall/router issue... So to checkthat, turn off your windows firewall (not recommended to keep it off, this is only for testing...) And also turn off the firewall in your router (d-link or whatever brand) if you have DMZ support on your router, enable that for the IP that goes to the computer that you want to sync (do this on both ends, ex: at home, and at work) Then restart the machines (or restart foldershare) and see if it starts sharing... Also you could make a TEST share folder, with like 5 or 10 pictures in it and share that, to see it that works.... If none of these steps works, then post a notice about your problem, and your computer setup in here.. (type of computer, router, firewalls used...) Thanks for reading, and hope you'll succedd!! |

| | Re: FolderShare not working Anthony, Thanks for the reply. Looked at the ports as you suggested. There are 4 of them. (80, 443, 6571, 8000) They show Initiate Connections - OK and Accept Connections - Blocked. This is the same whether or Zone Alarm is on or off. I have reset Zone Alarm and that did not work either. Any suggestions? Susan |

If it is, could you please send me your log file to katz.anton@xxxxxx so we can have a look at it?
