Results of Folder Compare

I just wanted to share my results of a compare between the 4 computers I have
been running FolderShare on for the past year.

Overall everything was pretty much as it should be with these exceptions.
Some of these may actually be what was wanted, but they failed my compare.

- Russian Language (Cyrillic) Files and Folders do not sync. (This is a
problem. I hope this is being addressed ASAP)

- Shortcuts, Thumbs.db, ~Temp Files do not sync. (I can see the thinking,
but I am not sure I knew this was the way it worked. These should at least be
configureable options.)

- Timestamps different on synced files. Some file where identical in size
and I new they actually hadn't been modified, but they had different
timestamps non the less. (This is not what I would expect.)

That's all. I am very happy with FolderShare. Hope to see some of these and
other issues address ASAP.

RE: Results of Folder Compare

The bug for not synchronizing multi-byte language files/folders has been
existing for a long time. I don't understand why it takes so much time to fix
it. It is NOT supposed to be a tough thing.

RE: Results of Folder Compare

Interesting. You'll see in thread on 'excluded files' (started earlier) that
I've found exactly the same re. shortcuts, thumbs.db and ~temp files.

But/ Foldershare synchs my cyrillic folders/files without any problems -
it's the Unicode (in our case, Farsi, but this also applies to Japanese,
Chinese, etc.) that won't copy over.
