Need to reinstall my operating system... advide from FS users soug

I need to reinstall FS on my Thinkpad X41Tablet. The system is getting slow
and boggy and the general consensus is that clean install of XP tablet
edition is the fix. However, since I use FS on this computer as well, I
wanted to plan how best to prevent duplicate files from being created

1) Can I simply copy the files I have on a desktop onto my laptop and let FS
recognize them, or is that risking the creation of too many duplicates

2) Should I just let FS copy all the files from my desktop (about 2gb worth)
onto my laptop and just let it run overnight?

Any thoughts from FS mavens?

I just let it do its thing by reformatting, installing OS, and then I set up
folder names as I want them and then I install FS and delete old machine
name and add new one (or just name it the same and it will delete it for
you) and then let FS copy all the files for me. That is one of the main
reasons I use it for and it does its work in about an hour or two. I just
do it and then do other things or leave it alone.

Re: Need to reinstall my operating system... advice from FS users

Thanks... I actually have about 3.3 GB divided over 7 folders. I suppose
that even this large a number should be written overnight.

Thanks for the input.
