Exciting news from the FolderShare team!

Great news: We have made major upgrades to the FolderShare web UI and to
the backend. These changes should result in greatly improved overall
usability and much improved reliability. Please check out the new web site
today at: http://www.foldershare.com .

We also recommend that you upgrade your FolderShare client app to the newest
version by clicking on the link in the upper right hand corner of the
landing page (if you are logged out on the page).

In addition to the changes mentioned above, today we are launching a new
FolderShare team blog. Check it out at:
http://foldershareteam.spaces.live.com

This release does a lot of great things for FolderShare that we hope you
will love. But to make these changes in a timely fashion, we had to remove
one feature that a few of you might miss: the new release no longer
supports remote desktop search. We will consider re-adding that feature in
a future release. In the meantime, enjoy the newly upgraded FolderShare
service and let us know what you think!

Thank you for all your support,
Windows Live FolderShare Team

RE: Exciting news from the FolderShare team!

Where is it? I go to the "new" website, click on "install foldershare" and
it takes me to some generic Microsoft search page.

RE: Exciting news from the FolderShare team!

Looks great. I'm excited to try out the new FolderShare.

Thanks FolderShare team!

Now, the big question is - will this service remain FREE? Has this been
decided yet?

RE: Exciting news from the FolderShare team!

YAY! Thanks for the new stuff to play with!

I like that everything is accessible from the front page now! Good job with
splitting the lists while browsing computers into folders and drives! So much
better!

My only problem would be to hide the computers that are offline in the
Remote Access... you can't get files off of those computers anyway.

But great job everyone, again!

Re: Exciting news from the FolderShare team!

Since the site went beta, my folders no longer sync automatically between my
Vista and XP machines.

In fact, nothing new shows up in any of the sync folders at all.

RE: Exciting news from the FolderShare team!

Exciting except since I updated with the latest version, my Vista machine
won't run Foldershare. I have installed the update on my XP machines and it
runs fine. Until todays update I have never had a problem on the Vista or any
of my machiines. Any suggestions?

RE: Exciting news from the FolderShare team!

Sort of solved my problem. I uninstalled the new update and reinstalled the
old program on my Vista machine. It is back working fine. XP mahines continue
to work ok with update.

Re: Exciting news from the FolderShare team!

Horray! I'm so glad this finally happened...I'm sure some of the people in
this newsgroup thought I was making things up when I said you really were
working on it. ;-)
