| | New Foldershare Beta crashes on startup Version 14.0.1324.228 crashes on startup on one of my two machines Others have reported the same problem in the Windows Live FolderShare Spaces blog It doesn't crash if the network is disabled but FolderShare isn't terribly useful in that mode. |

| | Re: New Foldershare Beta crashes on startup Hi Ira, This is a known bug that we are investigating. We are working on a fix to address the crashes users are seeing with the new client. We will be posting an updated client soon. We're terribly sorry for the inconvenience. If you are experiencing this problem, you can use the old client in the meantime. | | Re: New Foldershare Beta crashes on startup I am having the same issue of foldershare crashing one of my two pcs on startup. If you go out to foldershare.com and look at the download it says version 14.0.1325.0310 but when you download it and install it, the installed version is listed as 14.0.1324.228, why the difference? Also, it is suggested to install the older version, how do you download the old version? You dont realize how much you depend on something until it is gone. | | Re: New Foldershare Beta crashes on startup Hi Mohammed, While you guys are investigating this bug please consider investigating this too: foldershare often doesn't recover from standby mode. In 'view activity' it shows 'waiting for a server response'. I often have to kill and restart foldershare after waking up my machines. Anyway, good to hear that foldershare is not abandoned by Microsoft. I'm a big fan but run into several limitations that I really hope will be addressed in future upgrades. | | Re: New Foldershare Beta crashes on startup Unfortunately that is a bug on the website. The website says: 14.0.1325.0310, but really the client version is: 14.0.1324.228 So when you install the client from the website, you should be getting 14.0.1324.228, which is the latest client. thx -m "kruser" <kruser@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:32A4E386-EC85-4964-8DD7-8EEDA50CC73D@xxxxxx Quote: > I am having the same issue of foldershare crashing one of my two pcs on > startup. | | Re: New Foldershare Beta crashes on startup Could you provide a time line on the new client release or where we can download the old version? Foldershare keeps crashing on my XP PC but works fine on my Vista PC. I would really like this to work again. | | Re: New Foldershare Beta crashes on startup Ronald, could you please elaborate? Does FolderShare not recover from sleep mode or hibernation mode?
