| | All computers unsubscribed from all libraries Today I noticed that all of my machines have been unsubscribed from all libraries (owned and shared), which means I have to go thru and reset all this. As a user since the paid-service days, I have dozens of libraries containing tens of thousands of files, so this will be a lot of clicking. At least I will get to put the new interface thru its paces. Anyone else experience this? I'm still running the old client. |

However, it eventually worked. I did try reinstalling/repairing a time or two. Everything eventually showed up. You might want to try to reinstall |

| | Re: All computers unsubscribed from all libraries Let's separate the two issues: 1) On Logon - Users should be able to logon now. - There is a small set of users who can not logon. If you are one of those, please let us know. We are actively tracking down a few issues that are causing this that we are fixing. 2) On loosing your library configuration - With the old client, we have seen this from time to time. - If you are hitting this on the new client, please let us know and we may take a look. Unfortunately the only way to recover is to re-map your libraries. Sorry about the inconvenience. If anyone else is hitting this today, please post. thx -Mohammed "johnk" <johnk@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:1C4655F1-C7D7-4970-8E47-D872203072BD@xxxxxx Quote: > > > "Luis Jesus" wrote: > Quote: >> I have the same problem. >> >> Could someone from Microsoft suggest a solution for this? > I had the same problem too... | | Re: All computers unsubscribed from all libraries Still doesn't work, even with new client. Furthermore, some computers have disappeared from the list of computers. Not offline, just gone. Poof. It's going to take me a long time to redo everything. And, I have to explain this to a bunch of technophobes who have no idea how FS works (because it was so good, they didn't need to). Guys, I love you and all, but you really messed up this rollout. Remember to stretch every 30 minutes of clicking to avoid RSI problems... ;-) |

| | Re: All computers unsubscribed from all libraries I've got the exact same problem as Rhanson. Of the 4 clients, 1 vanished completely (again, not just offline, completly gone). Each of the 4 clients appears to be connected without problems (no network changes), but all the libraries have become inactive. Upon trying to browse online computers or set up libraries, I get an error message "Sorry, there was an unexpected error. Please try again." This is the same for any of the 4 clients. I have tested the new version of FolderShare on 1 computer and the problems persist. In the past, FolderShare was very reliably, and any problems were somewhat minor. This problem, however, is not minor. I hope FolderShare soon identifies and corrects the cause of the problem. | | RE: All computers unsubscribed from all libraries I'm having the same experience: unsubscribed computers and unable to reconnect the libraries. This seems like an account issue. Based on another post here I set up another account on the same computer and logged in without a problem. If I try and set up a folder from a completely different computer using my original account I get the same errors. So my conclusion is that it's an account issue not a computer or software issue. I'm also an original paid subscriber, perhaps that's too old or something or perhaps they don't recognize a "professional" account or something. Lovely. | | Re: All computers unsubscribed from all libraries At least part of the issue is account related rather than software or hardware related. I can log on from any computer using my original account but when I try to share or add a device the site bonks with the error message. I can however access a new account and share directories from the new account on the same computers. Since the people who are having trouble all seem to have originally been paid accounts with Byte Taxi you should look at what new rules may have been instituted and how those rules may be affecting those accounts.
