10 Library Limit? :(

As was discussed in a prior post about the 10k limit I have chosen to
break-up "My Documents" into smaller sub-my documents. So I have one
called "Core Documents" which is everything but my websites (which have
almost 10k each) and photos (which I had to break up by year because each
year is close to 10k), and music (which is close to 10k).

My problem is that this requires me to have more libraries that 10 and I
never had a limit before this week when you guys went live! Now I have no
choice but to use another product because I need at least 15 to 20 libraries
to handle each of my websites, core documents, downloads, photos (2002, 2003,
2004, 2005, 2006..)

What do I do? Is there a way to remove this limit? Why did you choose
to all of a sudden impose a limit on libraries? Please help as this is an
urgent requirement for me to keep work, multiple home PC's, and laptops all
in sync. I have begun the research on PAID tools but would rather not
leave as I TRUST AND LIKE Foldershare.

Maybe you just never hit or knew about that old limit.

Re: 10 Library Limit? :(

I am so confused. Are you saying that 10 has been the library limit all
along? I just had to rebuild my libraries due to hard drive failure and I
know I had more that I have today because I have only reimplemented a portion
of them. But before the 10th I had 11 folders for sure because I still
have 11 and it does not seem to take away folders over the limit, it just
does not allow me to create any more. But right now I just counted them
and I have "11". Please help as I feel crazy.

Here is the old FolderShare FAQ still in Google's cache:

This Googles cache of https://www.foldershare.com/info/faq/Libraries.php as
retrieved on 10 Mar 2008 10:44:10 GMT. Google's cache is the snapshot that we
took of the page as we crawled the web.

* The page may have changed since that time. *

And before this date too. I found others posts who tells about this
limitation - it whas not 10 libraries.

Wow...I didn't know there was a 10 library limit. Combined with the 10K file
limit that most people have...that really sucks. That limis the usefulness
of FolderShare in a big way. Are there any folders, perhaps ones that you
don't access regularly, you can ZIP up? I used that trick at one point,
taking a folder with 1000 or so files and making it into a single ZIP file.

It is my recollection that this is a long-standing limit since Microsoft
bought the product. Here is a post from around a year that ago that also
makes mention of it:

Re: 10 Library Limit? :(

That's wild - considering I've had 14 libraries running for months now.
Well, until today, that is.

Thus it appears that there had previously been a 10 library limit by
policy, but one that had not been enforced by the software until now.

Re: 10 Library Limit? :(

As far as I know, there was always ten librabry limit. Unless maybe you had a
paid version, I do not know. But I did try to create more than 10 libraries,
and was not able (ever) with the free version.
