Is this the Place for Tech Support on Foldershare

I'm wondering if this is really the place for tech support on Foldershare?
There seems to be an absence of help or links to help. And the new FAQ's and
Help Central are lacking, leave much to be desire and generally are just
terrible. So much for "new". Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks
Louis James

RE: Is this the Place for Tech Support on Foldershare

I thought this would be the place for support, but there hasn't really been
much help here since the new version came out and began crashing on systems
worldwide. I've been checking back frequently to see if there is any chance
the issues will be fixed soon but all I find is more questions and no
answers. Oh well, it's still free!

This is the place to get community support for FolderShare. We have help at
http://help.live.com/help.aspx?mkt=e...word&query=qaf

What are you trying to find out?

Jeremy;

Two Points:

What do I need help with? Good Golly Miss Molly. Search the forum. We've
been beating the doors for some answers. Appreciate that you all finally got
to it.

Have you tried to use the "NEW" help at the link you gave. Good God! The
previous version had boat loads of more information. Doing a search reveals
nothing. Literally! Do a search for example on "exclusion" or "not copied".
And then navigate back to the "foldershare" site. OOPS!

RE: Is this the Place for Tech Support on Foldershare

We have bugs some users are running into right now, which is the majority of
the posts on the newsgroup/blog. I don't think we need help articles for
these since we just need to fix them and we are actively doing that.

I am interested in the topics you and others in the newsgroup think are
missing from our help system. It sounds like a list of files that are not
synced would be a good start. I will look through the questions here and the
old site to see what we can bring forward, but suggestions from the newsgroup
will help focus/prioritize our efforts.

RE: Is this the Place for Tech Support on Foldershare

Besides the "missing" files, how about:

You must be logged on for foldershare to work since it is not a service and
explaination.

Max Files: You've got it but you have to really read to understand that
you're over the limit.

A way to get back to www.foldershare.com without having to type it in the
browser. Here's an idea. When you go to help central, it launches a new
browser session.

How to find previous versions of Foldershare. You tell others to use the
previous version but there is no where on the site to find it.

That's for starters.

Louis James

Oh by the way... the "notify me of replies" on this site does not work.
Never get any e-mail telling me that you replied. Thought you should know.

RE: Is this the Place for Tech Support on Foldershare

Thanks for the feedback. I will talk to the team about adding some or all of
these help topics.

"Notify on replies" is working for me. Did you specify an email address in
your Microsoft Discussion Groups profile?
