| | On-demand Synchronization I am trying to understand the on-demand sync option on a shared library. I created a shared library(source) and shared it with a friend(destination) and set the on-demand sync option on both ends. When I add files to source, they show up in the destination as filename.p2p. I understand these are placeholder files until you download them or sync them. The only way I found to initiate the sync is to change the on-demand sync to automatic sync, is this correct? Is there any other method that would to leave it set to on-demand sync so when the sync completed you wouldn’t have to remember to change it back to on-demand? It would be nice if there was a ‘sync now’ option in the library that would initiate the sync. |

| | Re: On-demand Synchronization Hi, A computer with Auto Sync will automatically send and receive files in the library to any online computer. While a computer with On-Demand Sync will receive the placeholders (p2p) files from any online computer. These p2p files will remain as placeholders until you download the file by clicking on the p2p file. The downloaded file will remain synchronized across any online computers. You can always force an entire sync of the library by switching from On-Demand to Auto Sync. Note that if you change back to On-Demand all the files that were synched while on Auto will remain synched across any online computers.
