| | Will not Synch i have used the program for a few days and all worked fine. now, every time I start up my laptop and the program starts up, I get an error message...basically - "foldershare was unable to write....file already exists.....move files that have a .p2p extension out of this library" I then must click the "Exit" button to close the program. How do I fix this? Running XP with SP2 on desktop and Vista home premium on laptop |

| | RE: Will not Synch I am just about as frustrated as a one-armed paper hanger. I can see every single file that I need to access, except they all have the .p2p extension. I can't get to any of them. WHAT IS GOING ON?? I've been uninvited and invited again, I've shut down and restarted. I've tried everything I know how to get things to sync -- and it's just not happening. This is a time-sensitive job. Microsoft, what are you doing to us?? Or where am I going wrong?? -- Carol "jackeen" wrote: Quote: > i have used the program for a few days and all worked fine. now, every time I > start up my laptop and the program starts up, I get an error > message...basically - > "foldershare was unable to write....file already exists.....move > files that have a .p2p extension out of this library" > I then must click the "Exit" button to close the program. > How do I fix this? > Running XP with SP2 on desktop and Vista home premium on laptop |

| | RE: Will not Synch This is just a shot in the dark. I'm guessing you downloaded the first FolderShare Live release and it worked just fine on your Vista machine. I have a Vista machine that worked fine, too - it was FolderShare on XP that was frustrating me. When they released the updated version yesterday my XP issues went away but I was having problems similar to the ones you describe on Vista. Long story short (oops, too late), just download and install the newest release to your Vista machine(s). Hope this works for you. | | Re: Will not Synch Carol, are you using On-Demand sync for the device where all the files are ..p2p files? If so, that is the proper behavior. If you want to have the full files synced to that device, you need to switch the device to Automatic Sync. Below is a help topic on how to switch sync settings for you device. http://help.live.com/help.aspx?mkt=e...htgnelxam_htap "Carol" <Carol@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:0052904E-FFA9-4E56-AC60-ECF4A644035B@xxxxxx Quote: > I am just about as frustrated as a one-armed paper hanger.
