The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installa

Error while installing Live Foldershare on Vista Enterprise SP1:

[Window Title]
Windows Installer
[Main Instruction]
The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation.
[OK]

I tried to follow some KB's to help for this error during installation of
other products but I cannot seem to get it right.

There is no UAC prompt for me during this install. My machine is joined to
the domain, which may have caused a group policy that is not typical.

RE: The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installa

Found the answer... elevate msiexec to admin:

1. Start > (in search box) Command
2. right click Command Prompt (in search results) > Run as Administrator
3. Approve UAC prompt
4. Type in msiexec to point to the downloaded msi file.
MSIExec.exe /L*v c:\users\myaccount\desktop\Foldershare_installlog.txt
/package c:\users\myaccount\desktop\Foldershare.msi

Then it installed successfully.

That's good to know. The only Vista I have right now is 'Ultimate' and it
installed fine.

Re: The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installa

Sweet! This works!

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6001]
Copyright (c) 2006 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
C:\Windows\system32>msiexec
C:\Windows\system32>msiexec.exe /L*V c:\users\jason\desktop\LogMeIn_Installlog.t
xt /package c:\users\jason\desktop\LogMeIn.msi
C:\Windows\system32>

Not to be greedy, but my next question is how can I permanently deal with issue of msiexec.exe having admin rights without always having to go to the command line to install things?

My other Dell with Vista Home edition never had this problem.
