speed problem (transfer rate)

Hi,

I'm new to FolderShare, but this is a very good tool. Everything is fine,
but I'v serious problem with speed. I'm wanted to sync with 2 PC-s over
internet. My transfer rate is 70-80 kB/s avg. Whats the problem? With FTP I
can download with 500 kB/s from the same PC. I'm searching for this problem,
but only find persons with the same problem, not found any solution.

Please help,
thanks,

M.

RE: speed problem (transfer rate)

Hi

if you are synching files then one PC is uploading and the other PC is
downloading. If you are on ADSL then your upload bandwidth is likely to be
much less than your download bandwidth. Hence that will limit the speed with
which you can sync these files.

RE: speed problem (transfer rate)

Thank You for your reply.

Im, wanted to sync from a 100Mbit server so not this is the problem. (with
FTP works 500+ kB/s). In the other end I'm using ADSL (for download).

The speeds you're getting sound fine to me. Take care of the difference
between Kb/s and KB/s. 70 KB/s is about 700 Kb/s.
