| | Doesn't synchronize I recognized, that I'm online in Foldershare but files are still not coming through. I have no firewall installed! So I have to make a right click on foldershare and sign out and sign in again. Only then the files are coming through. Why is this like that? Further: If Foldershare crashes due to a conflict, for example, if two users are working the same time on a document, foldershare forces to be closed and can not be restarted. I had to install it all new in order to get access to my documents. Is there any solution for it? Thanks |

| | RE: Doesn't synchronize Regarding the first issue - have you tried waiting a bit longer to make sure it synchronizes eventually? As to the second issue - currently the way FolderShare handles some specific sync errors / conflicts is that it asks you to manually resolve the situation and quits. Could you elaborate a bit more on the exact behavior you are seeing? Uninstall shouldn't make any difference in this case. Thanks, Christoph "Chris" wrote: Quote: > I recognized, that I'm online in Foldershare but files are still not coming > through. I have no firewall installed! | | RE: Doesn't synchronize Thanks for your reply. Yes, I was waiting for several hours and thought first, that it has again something to do with the naming of the files, as there are (funny enough) no Umlauts, like öäü etc. allowed. But this was not the case here. Only when I "changed user" and logged in again, the files came through. Concerning the second issue: Another collaborator opened the same document I was working with and Foldershare sent me immediately a note, whether I want to save my changes or not. Whatever I clicked on, Foldershare closed completely together with the Foldershare sign in the sidebar. There was no way to reactivate it, as it is not in the program folder. So I had to reinstall it new from the Foldershare website and to log in again. Hope, this is more clear now. | | RE: Doesn't synchronize Hi Chris, There is a shortcut to FolderShare under: All Programs -> Windows Live -> Windows Live FolderShare Beta We'll investigate the first issue that you mentioned. Thanks, Christoph "Chris" wrote: Quote: > Thanks for your reply. It creates a program menu item....re-installing it is certainly not necessary. :-) Jason Dunn www.digitalhomethoughts.com |
