| | Vista-64 crash: clientcore\drive.cpp:2060 assertion failure I'm getting a consistent crash in Vista 64. I've reviewed the logfile, and it's not the UPnP problem. Has anyone else see this and or is the team aware of this. I would really like to get this working again. Here's the most significant thing in my log that seems to lead to the crash. 03:07:41.977 fspaths.cpp:273 (DETAIL): getShareNameFromPath called with 'PRIVATE_DATA_REMOVED' 03:07:41.977 global.cpp:638 (CRITICAL): assertion failed: e:\bt\368704\client\foldershare\product\clientcore\drive.cpp:2060 "0" 03:07:41.977 winui.cpp:133 (CRITICAL): handling exception, code: c0000005, addr 004808A8 03:07:41.999 winui.cpp:2225 (DETAIL): got a core message of type 1 from the chain, depth: 1 03:07:41.999 winui.cpp:2232 (DETAIL): core said to refresh the drive list 03:07:41.999 winui.cpp:2225 (DETAIL): got a core message of type 6 from the chain, depth: 1 03:07:41.999 winui.cpp:2225 (DETAIL): got a core message of type 28 from the chain, depth: 1 03:07:41.999 winui.cpp:2225 (DETAIL): got a core message of type 28 from the chain, depth: 1 03:07:41.999 winui.cpp:2225 (DETAIL): got a core message of type 28 from the chain, depth: 1 |

| | RE: Vista-64 crash: clientcore\drive.cpp:2060 assertion failure Thanks for reporting this problem. FolderShare does not support synchronizing files to network shares anymore. I suspect you had a network share mapped using a legacy client - is this the case? If so, to work around the crashing bug, try unmapping / deleting this library through the web site. Needless to say, we will work on a fix to make sure this case is handled correctly. Thanks, Christoph "ggianop" wrote: Quote: > I'm getting a consistent crash in Vista 64. | | RE: Vista-64 crash: clientcore\drive.cpp:2060 assertion failure Christoph: thanks for replying. I've search through the library and checked the target location on each machine and can't find any use of network shares in the libraries defined there. Is there some clue that I can use to figure this out? What makes you assume it's a network share? This explanation makes some sense because I have managed to get it running on some of my Vista-64 machines; so I'm convinced it's something environmental. One of the libraries was at one time being stored to a network resource with an offline synchronization defined; but that has been retargeted and the offline cache (in Vista) has been purged and reset (since there is no other way to remove offline storage in Vista -- an obvious oversight in the product.) I can't find any reference to any network resources in my libraries. Any other suggestions? I'd like to (continue to) use your product but it won't run more than 5 seconds after startup. -Gregg "Christoph Zelazowski [MSFT]" wrote: Quote: > Thanks for reporting this problem.
