File Synchronization/Download Dosen't Work

I have used Foldershare successfully for over 2 years to Sync QuickBooks data
files between two computers.

I got a new computer that I wanted to make my main workstation.

Before attempting setup and sync on new computer, I logged into my account
and deleted the libraries that used the old computer so I could setup
libraries using the new computer on my end instead of the old one.

I then went to the new computer and attempted to create new libraries with
the new computer on my end with the same remote computers. It brought over
some of the files and directories but will not bring over and sync the QBooks
data file.

I then went into the remote computer and tried to use the download feature.
It shows the file in the directory that I want to be synced with my computer
but I could not even download the file like it is supposed to.

Even though it shows the file and the file size, when you try to download
the file it reports back "File may have been moved or deleted" even though I
can look at it in the remote directory and it reports back the file size as
being 9mb. In the beginning it reported back an error "file could not be
copied to cache". But now it only gives you the error about being moved or
deleted. I hope it has not deleted the data file on the remote computer.

I have done this before successfully before this last upgrade of the new
interface and client. What is going on here ??

Re: File Synchronization/Download Dosen't Work

Hi,

Are you running the latest version (14.0.1331.0415) of FolderShare? Also,
when trying to sync QBooks files or Word docs make sure you don't have them
opened on any of your computers because this can stop FolderShare from
synching them. Let me know if you're still experiencing this issue.

Thanks,
Francisco

Re: File Synchronization/Download Dosen't Work

The following day went to the client site and they had the QBooks file open...

Closed files and everything synced up fine.

Thanx for your response.
