Network Drives

Guys

I had an old version of Foldershare on my PC... I have been very happy with
it... I found the new version and installed it and found that it limits my
use of folder share. So I have a PC at home that has a number of network
drives(2). On the old version I could access these remotely from wherever I
was. Once I installed the new version, now the network drives are not
accessible, they dont even show up on the remote computer that had them
attached. Has this service been taken away or is there a setting I have
missed?

Re: Network Drives

Hi,

The new version of FolderShare does not support remote access or synching to
mapped/network drives. We can’t provide a timeline, but this is a feature
that we’re looking into. Thanks for your interest in FolderShare!

Best,
Francisco

Re: Network Drives

Hi Peter,

From the FolderShare website
(https://www.foldershare.com/clientdownload.aspx) you can only download the
latest version of FolderShare. By using the most recent version you’ll have
access to the newest features, have an overall improved experience and we’ll
be able to provide you better support for it. Again, we’re investigating
adding remote access and synching to network drives in future releases.
Thanks for your continued interest!

Best,
Francisco

Re: Network Drives

Hi Francisco

Unfortunately this was the feature and reason I used foldershare.. Its now
gone. So for me there is NO improved experience... to the point I cannot us
it as I have network drives where all my data is, I do not need syncing only
access and downloading form it... This version is a MASSIVE step backwards
and I am not able to use it until this is resolved.. I was hoping that I
could use the older version where I was very satisfied but you will not allow
it....

this is a very bad step and you dont even have a timeline...

Sorry to be blunt but really want you to understand that you have removed
features as an improvement. If I understood this I would have never have
upgraded....
