| | Foldershare & Live Mesh Hi, could MS please clarify the relationship between the two? Live Mesh seems to do everything Foldershare does. So, are you actually still working on releasing Foldershare at some point in the future (it is still beta, right?), i.e. do you still want people to test it and give you feedback? Or will it be discontinued in any case, which would mean that those users that actually use it to help you guys finish it for a release can stop that now? I know that releasing plans is always difficult. BUT, I think there is quite a large user group by now around that is only sticking to Foldershare at this point because we believe that we can help you fix problems with it, NOT because we think that this is the best solution for synching right now. I am talking about the dedicated beta testers here. I would find it very unfair to let beta testers continue test Foldershare, when in case you knew already that there are no plans to release a final version of Foldershare. Thanks! Best, David |

| | Re: Foldershare & Live Mesh FolderShare is definitely here to stay and we want your feedback. We are actively working on the next version of FolderShare and the service is still in Beta. | | Re: Foldershare & Live Mesh I'm really Glad you are working hard on that guys. You want my opinion: Basically what me (in the previous post), and davidacoder (here) are saying are: Why are there 3 different services (all 3 brilliant) under 3 different roofs ? I love the Skydrive .. It's helping me a lot and the feedback to that Iand many people have given. On the other hand, foldershare is awesome. Now that i came across Live Mesh and saw it's preview.. I think thats an awesome concept too. All these 3 services I've mentioned above all come under one Category which is Remote Storage and Access. My personal Question to you : Don't you think if all these 3 cool services were under one roof, they would be more clear and straightforward ? I admire your current work in trying to integrate Windows Live account to foldershare.com so that Windows live users can directly use foldershare without being able to create an account, but now i see Live Mesh and that sounds a bit too familiar. Hence I'm confused to what exactly would serve me better. IMO foldershare gets its benifit by making it really easy and nice GUI without. But there are extra features in MESH that tempts me too. Sorry for relating two different services ( maybe you people just work for foldershare, and have nothing to do with other services) but its just an honest Question and query . ![]() Thanks ! | | Re: Foldershare & Live Mesh I agree, it is confusing trying to sort all this out. I think they need a chart or something as there seems to be so much overlap. I hate to use something today that is being replaced by a new service in the not to distant future. Regards-Michael G.
