Required "upgrade" to Beta?!?!
To add to the litany of complaints, this morning I had the dreaded message waiting for me - "You need to update". So, reluctanly, I did. It seems to have installed. It took ~30min to log in. I thought all is well. Not so, it has fallen off and now it's stuck in another interminable "Logging in. Waiting for server" limbo. Some notes: - For a required update, it is incredible to be greeted by a welcome screen that announces it as a "beta" application. You're forcing everybody to update to a beta product?!? - Pretty extraordinary that there is no sign of a changelog anywhere. We are told that this update will improve stability. However, the first thing I experience is the same problem that's plagued the program in recent months... Are there actual improvements somewhere, or just dropped features/support to accompany a slightly different GUI?! I am going to keep an open mind about this program for a little while longer - at least until I give the Devs. have a chance to right the ship during this "upgrade" phase. But if the problems continue, I suspect you are going to lose users in droves - to other programs, such as PowerFolder, etc... |
