Hi all,
I've been enjoying Foldershare for months now, but have now run into a problem where there is no synching going on between my home Windows XP desktop and my work Vista laptop. These same machines were synching fine until today, when I installed Norton Internet Security on one machine and upgraded Norton on the other machine. Both machines have the taskbar icon saying "Foldershare Satellite Online (behind NAT)." So it looks like I'm connected to the Foldershare server, I guess. But when I change one Word file on one machine, it doesn't synch with the Word file on the other machine. I've got libraries set up to synch all files in my Winword folder. When I got the Foldershare website, I see the Winword folder set up correctly. When I do a test of my settings, I see that the Port Settings indicate that the four ports listed on OK for initiating connections but they all say Blocked for accepting connections. If that's the problem, I'm not quite sure how to fix it. Like I said, all was working fine for months until today. I could use help on this, as specific as possible. Thanks very much. Jason |

You need to configure Norton Internet Security to allow FolderShare to
establish connections. I found some instructions @ http://solutions.symantec.com/sdccom...070913064624EN . I hope it helps. -- Jeremy Epling Lead Program Manager - Windows Live FolderShare "Jason Saffer" wrote:

Thanks for your tip, Jeremy. I did a lot of searching the web some info on
this problem and what ended up working for me was to delete and then re-create the Foldershare libraries. That seemed to do the trick, without having to change any of Norton's settings.
