| | Does Foldershare work on Windows Home Server? I have a Windows Home Server, I'd like to use this as the source of my Foldershare when I am on the road. Is it possible ti install on the WHS? I know I will have to map my shared folders to drive letters, as I do that currently with SyncToy. |

| | Re: Does Foldershare work on Windows Home Server? John, The answer is "yes," and splendidly so. The possible catch might be that you'll have a folder with over the 10,000 file limit at some point (think: your WHS Photos folder, or Music folder). But in my case, at the moment, I'm only hovering around 3600 files in both photos and music, so I'm okay. You'll want to learn the guts of the *.ini file in the install directory of the program (get the latest version), and tweak things as needed (e.g., foldershare doesn't seem to have bandwidth throttling, so sending up the default 3 files in a sync might clog your upload bandwidth on a home cable connection, and therefore disrupt a VOIP phone service [like Vonage]). That could be overcome with using QoS on your outbound router (if it supports this feature). I could make other suggestions, too. But the point is that it does work with WHS. What are your purposes with foldershare?
