| | Can't disable encryption on Windows XP Why can't I disable encryption on Windows XP? The only 3 tabs I have are General, Proxy, and Port Status. This contrasts with the 6 tabs I have on Vista - My Account, General, Logging, Transfers, Proxy, and Port Status. I _need_ to disable encryption on my XP machine to sync with a Mac (which is, in itself, a stupid problem). How, exactly, am I meant to do this? Is there a registry setting I can tweak? |

Look in \Documents and Settings\XXX\Local Settings\Application Data\FolderShare\settings ("XXX" is your Windows userid) In there is a file called something like 999999.ini ("999999" is presumably your FolderShare user number). Edit that file with Notepad and change this setting: encryptTransfers = false richi. www.richij.com |
