| | Anything like FolderShare for LAN only? We'd like to sync a folder on a laptop and desktop, but only while in the office and without having the traffic traverse the internet. Is there something that would do this? |

Is there something that would do this? should do this. Caveats: 1) It's asymmetric; the file's home is on one machine or the other 2) you have to put a bit more thought into when you want to sync; it's not triggered by every file change 3) you are relying on your corporation's security to implement the "no Internet" requirement. If the away machine can't contact the home machine directly, then it won't be syncing the file. -- David Brooks |

| | Re: Anything like FolderShare for LAN only? Brenda, FolderShare will actually create a P2P connection between your devices, unless such path is blocked. Have you tried using FolderShare for this purpose? Let me know if this works for you, Anton "David Brooks" <david.brooks@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:EF81AD61-F871-46AC-B27A-77D25784D64D@xxxxxx Quote: > "Brenda" <brenda@xxxxxx> wrote in message > news:OJqnm7W4IHA.1200@xxxxxx Quote: >> We'd like to sync a folder on a laptop and desktop, but only >> while in the office and without having the traffic traverse the >> internet.
