| | Syncing Large Files Question re: syncing large files I'm syncing an Outlook PST file that is over 1 GB. Now, if I make a change to the PST file, does the entire PST file get transferred again? Or, does FolderShare modify and update the remote file to account for the new changes? The activity log says: "received from..." - does this mean that the entire PST file is being received again after it gets modified? |

You might get away with this if you never open the .pst file at both ends at the same time. Not sure what folder share will do if you try, I doubt that it can send any changes when Outlook has the .pst file open. And after you close Outlook it writes changes to the .pst file, god only knows what will happen once folder share try's to put that back together. Pst files are not multi-user, Microsoft has warnings about doing this. Russell Mangel Las Vegas, NV. |
