You can't even do this on a standard network drive. Nor, can you open a .pst file on cd-rom, has to be read-write. About the only way I can think of to make this work in a limited way would be if only one copy of Outlook accesses the .pst file at a time. After you exit Outlook I would expect foldershare to start sending changes, but most likely the entire .pst file would be sent. Pst files are very complex beasts and updates are written all over the place in the file. Unless folder share does bit replication, (which I doubt), it will send the entire pst file. There are a few utilities on the web that can do some pst file sharing, but I wouldn't get involved. You need to install Exchange Server, then sharing is much easier. For small offices, this may not be an option as Exchange Server requires administration, and is not cheap. Sorry I couldn't offer you a solution. Russell Mangel Las Vegas, NV |
