| | Help! Please! Cannot Get to Foldershare.com I've been trying to get to the Foldershare site and keep getting the message: We can't find that page. It may no longer be available, or you may have entered the wrong web address. I know we don't get a lot of support in this group, but nobody else has posted this problem so I'm thinking I'm missing something major here. I found a little info from last April on the web, but it only revealed that "We isolated and fixed the problem so you should be able to log into the FolderShare website." Nothing before or since that time. I've had this problem for a while on three different computers. I've used Foldershare since way before it was Microsoft and never had a problem until now. Has Microsoft moved the website or what am I possible doing wrong. Anyone? Please! Thanks! ~Carol~ |

| | Re: Help! Please! Cannot Get to Foldershare.com Which page? What's the URL in the browser's Address bar? Are you sure you're including the "www"? Using just "foldershare.com" causes problems because of the brain-damaged SSL certificate that Microsoft uses. Just try https://www.foldershare.com/ richi. www.richij.com Carol Carter wrote: Quote: > I've been trying to get to the Foldershare site and keep getting the > message: > > We can't find that page. > It may no longer be available, or you may have entered the wrong web > address. > > I know we don't get a lot of support in this group, but nobody else has > posted this problem so I'm thinking I'm missing something major here. > > I found a little info from last April on the web, but it only revealed > that "We isolated and fixed the problem so you should be able to log > into the FolderShare website." | | Re: Help! Please! Cannot Get to Foldershare.com Using the right-click on Foldershare in the system tray takes me (already logged in) to: https://www.foldershare.com/home.aspx The primary link (that you have below) takes me to the sign in page, which takes me to: https://www.foldershare.com/home.aspx This is where I get the error. I've tried so many ways to get there, but I always end up with the "we can't find that page" error. I've uninstalled Foldershare, cleaned everything out of the registry, reinstalled. I've changed my firewall settings. I've gone so far as to completely shut down the firewall long enough to make certain that wasn't the problem. I've used IE and Firefox after deleting cookies and cache. I sync three computers with three different internet connections and get the same web page with the error every time, everywhere. Foldershare is syncing, but I can't get into anything via the web (other than to change my password) so I can do nothing but hope when I get to my other computer that the files have been synced. I just have no idea what's happening. I've been using Foldershare for several years and have never had any problem until now. Thanks so much for your help. I'm lost without it! ~Carol~ Richi Jennings wrote: Quote: > Which page? What's the URL in the browser's Address bar? > > Are you sure you're including the "www"? | | Re: Help! Please! Cannot Get to Foldershare.com Ugh. Sounds like something's screwed up in your account on the server. Either someone from Microsoft can fix it, or you could try creating a whole new account and re-create all your libraries. Gag. Anyone from MSFT still listening? Or all you all working on Mesh now? richi. www.richij.com |

| | Re: Help! Please! Cannot Get to Foldershare.com That's got to be it. Right, ugh. Will probably have to start over. Right, gag. Unless somebody from MSFT is listening, but I won't hold my breath. As long as I've been using Foldershare, guess I really can't complain that this is the first time I've had a problem. Thanks so much Richi! At least I have a direction now. | | Re: Help! Please! Cannot Get to Foldershare.com Thanks for your post, Carol. Are you still experiencing the same issue? you mentioned that "I sync three computers with three different internet connections and get the same web page with the error every time" Are those three computers in the same network or different network? What do you get if you run >nslookup www.foldershare.com? Thank you, KyongHwan Kim [MSFT] "Carol Carter" wrote: Quote: > That's got to be it. Right, ugh. | | Re: Help! Please! Cannot Get to Foldershare.com Thanks for following up -- I realized when I seemed to be the only one having the problem (at least the only one searching for the answer on the web), that Richi was probably right; something was wrong with my account on the server, my profile (or whatever it should be called) had been somehow corrupted. Surprisingly, FYI if you're interested, after I set up a new account, just for the heck of it I logged out and signed back in with my original login and it's worked perfectly ever since. So I didn't have to start over after all. I only had to do it on one computer, and then all three worked again. BTW, they're three computers on three different networks. Strange but true. It's wonderful to have FolderShare back again! ~Carol~ KyongHwan Kim [MSFT] wrote: Quote: > Thanks for your post, Carol. > > Are you still experiencing the same issue? > > you mentioned that "I sync three computers with three different internet > connections and get the same web page with the error every time" > Are those three computers in the same network or different network? > > What do you get if you run >nslookup www.foldershare.com? > > Thank you, > KyongHwan Kim [MSFT] > > "Carol Carter" wrote: > Quote: >> That's got to be it.
