Vista - RE: FolderShare service on 10/20

FYI....The service is working for me. Both my computers, that were unable to
log in to the FolderShare, are able to log in, and start synching.

We can confirm that FolderShare service is back to fully operational mode at
this point; you should no longer experience any connection or syncing
difficulties.

problems but nothing was posted today here or on the FS site welcome page.

I understand this was not a planned outage, however there certainly was
"service impact" and there was no posting here or in the blog so I am
unsure what your team being "committed" has achieved for your users.

I am ready to give up. I still cannot connect to FolderShare. I have posted a
questions previously about this. I really don't want to start looking around,
but I am losing hope very quickly.

The servers appear to be running fine. In your position I would first
check for any obvious firewall or network issues and, if none was found,
uninstall FS and install it fresh again to clean up any configuration
issues. Doing that will not lose you any files or any libraries.

I did do the uninstall/reinstall. Didn't work. I just checked my ZoneAlarn
and it is showing FolderShare as a trusted (4 check marks for access and
server). I turned my mode to medium to see if that works. Nothing.

More info about my problem: 1) The only computer that shows as being online
is the FolderShare on my Mac. All the other computer are show offline. 2) I
have access to another FolderShare account which is syncing one small folder
-- weird huh! 3) I just uninstalled FolderShare, cleaned my registry, then
reinstalled and I still can't sign on. 4) Should I just give up on this and
look for a new service, because sharing files is something I've really come
to rely on and hate to do without.
