FolderShare Icon in the Task Bar

I am using FolderShare 14.0.1331.0415 on Windows XP SP2. The icon in the
Task Bar in the lower right keeps on disappearing on me and there appears to
be no other way of determining whether or not FolderShare is up and running.
How can I get to it when it disappears off the task bar to see if it is in
fact running? Thanks.

The simple answer is to look for the process in Task Manager. The better
answer is then to kill (End Process) the program using Task Manager and to
restart FS so that its icon becomes visible in the system tray. If the
icon is not visible in the system tray you have no access to the
information that the color or animation of the icon tells or access to its
tabs with the reports and options that those tabs make available.

You may decide to upgrade to the later version 14.0.1383.0530, although I
don't know this makes the appearance of the system tray icon more reliable.

Thanks. If one kills the process in the Task Manager, how does one re-start
it without re-booting the computer? There is no listing for Foldershare in
the Programs listing and it only starts as part of the start up routine, as
far as I know.

Thanks.

You can also drag a copy of that shortcut link onto your desktop if you
believe you will need to do manual starts of FS frequently.

Or you can Pin it to the Start Menu too.
