| | Foldershare won't sync 3 PCs unless they're all switched on OK, I've just added a 3rd PC to my Foldershare and now the sync isn't working as I'd expect it to... My setup: PC 1 - desktop PC switched on permanently PC 2 - Laptop PC 3 - Netbook This is my problem: PC 3 is switched off. I create a new file on PC 2, save it and it syncs with PC 1. I then switch off PC 2. I then switch on PC 3. I would expect it to sync with PC 1 and bring across the new file. However, in the activity window I just see the message 'Added by PC 2', it doesn't sync anything though. The only way to sync the file to PC 3 is to switch on PC 2. This seems to defeat the object of Foldershare or am I missing something.... Thanks in advance. |

| | RE: Foldershare won't sync 3 PCs unless they're all switched on Hi Phil, I have a similar arrangement to the one you describe, but in my case "PC 2" is a machine running WHS. It all works very well...assuming that the foldershare severs are up and running. Quite an assumption these days. Are you are leaving sufficient time for the for the synchronisation to take place and have you got the library set to Automatic synchronization? Regards.
