| | Connection Issue With Folder Share under the Proxy tab of the Settings dialog, I was able to set the Proxy Type (I used HTTP (username/password), the Hostname or IP, the Port, Username and Password. For the latter two, I supplied my network Login ID and Password. As corporate policy required that the network password be changed every month, so every month, I had to supply the new password to the Folder Share Proxy Settings. Under Live Sync I have tried all of the available Proxy types, specifying where applicable the same Hostname/IP and Port that I used with Folder Share, but there is no where available for me to supply my network login name and current password. Possibly, because I am not supplying the network login details, I am unable to connect and in every case receive the Windows Live Sync error message: Windows Live Sync can't connect to the server. There may be a problem with your proxy server settings. Does anyone know how I can get around this obstacle. -- Thanks, Doug Robbins - Word MVP |
